Conference topics/section

 

General conference topics will be discussed, in papers or posters form, in the next four sections:

  1. Soil tillage in function of environmental protection
  2. Conservation tillage – direct seeding – no-tillage
  3. Soil biotic and abiotic degradations – causes and consequences
  4. Soil tillage – new approach – technologies – perspectives

 

Call for papers

 

Call for papers (internet/electronic form Registration) should be returned before September 15, 2009. Papers should be written in English and will be presented as oral or poster. 

Chosen papers will be reviewed and published in the Proceeding of International Scientific Conference.

The papers admission

 

The papers should be admitted in electronic form as the Word document in attached file at e-mail: hdpot@pfos.hr before the duedate.

  • 01. 11. 2009 – submission of abstract

  • 15. 12. 2009 – acceptance of abstract and 2nd announcement (circular),

  • 15. 03. 2010 – submission of full paper

  • 15. 05. 2010 – full paper for publication acceptance notification

  • 01. 07. 2010 – registration payment

  • 01. 08. 2010 – final program published

 

Instruction to authors of papers

 

For proceeding the abstract should not exceed 1 page of A4. The text must be written in English as scientific paper in Microsoft Word for Windows, version 6.0 or higher, with font Times New Roman, font size 12. The paper title should be written by small uppercase letters, bolded, Title should be written in bold lowercase letters, font size 14 points, centered alignment. Authors (full surnames and names) font size 12 points, addresses size 11 points, in italic. Keywords (maximum 5) should be given after the abstract, with one line of spacing.

For whole papers – The whole papers for CD room oral or poster must be written on English language. The authors are invited to comply with following technical instructions:

  • The maximum paper length is 8 pages in A4 format including tables, graphs and references. The invited papers can be maximally 10 pages long.

  • Margins 3.0 cm left, 2.5 cm up, down and right. Do use single space with justified alignment.

  • The text should be written in Microsoft Word for Windows, version 6.0 or higher, with font Times New Roman, font size 12. The paper title should be written by small uppercase letters, bolded, Title should be written in bold lowercase letters, font size 14 points, centered alignment. Authors (full surnames and names) font size 12 points, addresses size 11 points, in italic. Subtitles should be in lowercase letters, bolded, size 12 points. Use solely empty lines for line spacing (size 12 points): before subtitles, between the title and the list of authors, between authors’ names and addresses, before table titles and after tables. Start of a section/paragraph in text should not be indented by the tabulator; paragraphs should be separated using the enter key.

  • Papers should contain the title, authors' full surnames and names, authors’ addresses (1 line for each address), abstract, keywords, introduction, material and methods, results and discussion, conclusions and references.

  • Full surnames and names of authors should be written without titles. Behind each author's name, the superscript number must indicate author's institution. Only for the contact person, E-mail should be added to the full address, together with the country name.

  • Abstract contains the aim of the paper, main research results and a brief conclusion. The allowed length is fifteen (15) lines. Not more than five keywords should be given, separated by commas.

  • Tables (table width from the left to the right margin), graphs and photographs (black and white, with high resolution) must be incorporated into text. Numbers and titles of tables should be written above the tables. Table contents should be separated by a minimum set of horizontal lines (0.5 points). Illustrations and graphs are also numbered, with the numbers written below graphs.

  • The list of references should contain only used literature, in alphabetical order.

  • Journal articles should be cited as shown in the following example: Perić, A., Matić, I., (2008): Paper title. Full journal's name, Volume (number): pages.

  • At the end of paper full name and address with e-mail, phone of the first author.

  • Papers will be reviewed by two scientific reviewers.

 

Poster presentation

 

The posters should have the maximum dimensions of 150 x 90 cm (height x width). They will be shown in the halls adjacent to their relative section.

The best posters presented by young scientists (maximum 30 years old) will be awarded the CROSTRO prize.
